I was actually due to arrive ON Coronation Day itself, but was so lazy, it was another 20 days before I made an appearance.

All this excitement can't be good for your heart at your age, Keefy.

BTW what happened to the 4th horse?

I was actually born on Coronnation Day but it was 12th May 1937! I did receive considerable memorabilia from the local council. By an odd coincidence there was only one other birth in the town on that day and his surname was also Parry - no relation, hence we both ended up with George as one of our names.
The only down side now is that at my age, I no longer watch serials!
Regards and happy birthday
Colin

Happy Birthday Keefy.
Like many others in this lifeboat I thought that such maturity, as you show, must come from one of more advanced years than a childish 62.
Now when I was 62 I know the present that I would be looking for from Lady Macbeth!! ;) ;)

I wasn't born in coronation year...

I was born 9 months, pretty much to the day, after the King died - along with an awful lot of others in my class at school - clearly nothing much on the radio that night!

The night is still young travel writer ;) ;)

Well it wasn't to be with my final selection. Going off at the 7/2 fav it only managed 5th which when all things considered has to be better than it getting beaten a short head...nevertheless a £411 overall profit ain't nothing to be sniffed at...well chuffed!

As for my wife's present...well I have mixed feelings about it...the conversation went something like this.....You know you said you wanted to go to the Birmingham Hippodrome to see The Bodyguard Musical...Yes! I replied with a sence of anticapation...well you're now going to London to see the Lion king on the 2nd September....but I've seen it before...I know but we want to see it again...Happy Birthday darling!

Well what could I say other than squeak squeak thank you :)

Thanks everyone for making this day a very Happy Birthday

Kind regards

Keith

P.s I shall be replying to some of your micky taking tomorrow...Yeah and you're going to wish you'd been nice to me  ...just off out for a bite to eat.

The mistake you made Keith was Not keeping quiet about your winnings. You may have won £411 but she will spend 500 ...at least.
