I would be well pleased if AFC Bournemouth wonderful achievements are rewarded by yet another good show and avoid the drop . . . and thump the Saints both home and away

Claudio Ranieri announced as our new manager. I'm happy with that from the managers who were available although on the fans' forum there are a good many whose expectations are totally unrealistic. All the City players now on eBay looking for Linguaphone Parliamo Italiano courses!!!

I think I will defer my predictions until a few weeks into the new season, however I will opt for Arsenal to win the FA cup, again, although Leicester with the most winless finals might just be a good outside bet to notch their first win.

Re: Football thread 2015/2016
First game on Saturday!
At home to Sheffield United.
could win 4-0
could lose 0-4
It's The Gills
I have missed it though.
Roll on Saturday lunchtime
A couple in the pub before walking down to the ground, taking our seats, seeing the same old faces and talking the same old rubbish.
Don't you just love the football season.
For all of you who understand that life actually exists outside the Premier League, there is a new Football League Show on Saturday nights at 9.00pm.
Should be a bit better than the useless BBC one that it has replaced.(hopefully)
Worth taping to watch Sunday morning

Got my seasons bets made yesterday.
Huddersfield to win the Championship (handicap system with a +25 points start over Derby, the favourites). Nahki Wells to be top scorer at 28-1.
Also had a flutter on Town winning at Hull on Saturday....I know they won't but 4-1 was too good to miss

If anyone is feeling VERY lucky....
William Hill are offering £50 million for a £2 stake.....
All the punter has to do is predict the finishing position of every Prem team!
Needless to say, I gave it a miss.

Wells isn't a bad shout Romig
I always rated him at Bradford
But The Terriers to win the Championship
even with a handicap
That's everything I love about football

I've had a stupid punt on my team, even though I know there is more chance of the Pope landing on the moon.
I'm seriously hoping that we can nick into the playoffs but reality will hit home come 5 o'clock Saturday

A new Footy League show .... which channel is that on, please ?
Now us Hornets are in the Prem ... will I, won't I, that was the question and the answer is that I have for less than £400.
So .... what have I done ( Foxy excluded ) ?

Bought a season ticket which allows you to place a deck chair just outside Vicarage Rd turnstiles in order to listen to the crowd noise?Manoverboard wrote:A new Footy League show .... which channel is that on, please ?

Re: Football thread 2015/2016
The world and his wife seem to be tipping Leicester to finish bottom this season.
No one rates Ranieri apparantly or his signings.
Personally I think that West Ham will struggle
My bottom three are
West Ham
Leicester
Norwich
Sunderland may well be in the mix along with Villa
I reckon Bournemouth with just about have enough about them, as will Watford.
One thing for sure, it will go to the wire.
