No need to panic, Barney. We've signed Jamie Paterson from Forest on a season-loan (with a view to a signing).

No one in.

We are expecting a striker on loan from a London Prem club to be announced.

We won that the year they kicked us out of the Football League...the League Secretary was booed by the 'atters faithful before the match. My brother tells me he didn't apppear to know why!

Well ... those Foxes won again, 3:2 vs Villa, but it took them until the 72nd minute before they even got out of their pyjamas.

Oh come on Romig

we are lower league football fans

we always expect the worst (and it usually happens)

my take on it is to get 50 points and be safe, then start thinking about how far we can go.

the unfortunate reality is that IF we went up, we would have such a small budget that we would inevitably do a Rotherham.

our last foray into the championship lasted five seasons but nearly bankrupted us

Gutted for Luke Shaw started the season really well. On the plus side it is only a double fracture, nothing compared to my 4.!!!
No doubt he will be playing again b4 i'm walking properly..!
Good Luck on his recovery.

Happy with a 2-2 draw. Woeful back pass by Wes Morgan put us 2-0 down. I don't know what he was thinking. However a point away will do us nicely. Not such a good day for barney's lot nor for RB, letting the side down.
However wins for the Cherries, Hornets, Frank's 'Atters and the Shots make it a good day for most and the Terriers went rash against Bolton putting four past them.
Btw what do you all think of the new Football League Show? I can't say I'm that keen. There's too much wandering about and time-filling for me. I'd rather watch more action from the matches.
We have Arsenal next up. Will those two dismissals mean they will be banned for the next match? We are happy to take all the help we can get.

For me it's more like a Game Show than a proper Footy Programme ... so  from me.

ps ... new boys Watford, Bournemouth and Norwich are sitting 9th, 11th and 12th in the Prem League

Well done to all winning teams today. Not so good for The Gills or the Gunners. Costa really wound up the Arsenal player didn't he? He seems a nasty piece of work all round.
The Football League Show is very poor IMO - it's only saving grace is it's starting time. Had to laugh at it's Championship running order last night. The two games with 5 goals (Huddersfield were one) were the last two to be shown...long after such exciting games as the nil-nil between Wolves & Brighton!
Regarding Huddersfield, it was good to see a home win for once - they've been in short supply for some time now. We struggled in the first half and were second best to Bolton.... however the training ground arranged corner routine from which we scored was a delight, and the timing of the goal (on the stroke of halftime) was crucial. The players came out in completely different mood in the second half and absolutely destroyed Bolton - they should have scored at least two more than the 3 goals they added after the break. It would have been nice to score 5, but I guess I shouldn't be too greedy?

................................. and they're all getting stiff necks looking at where the Foxes are!!!
However, it's good to see considering what all the pundits were saying at the beginning of the season.
