It might work in New Zealand but here i'm sure you would probably be arrested for causing undue stress etc.

We've got Call Guardian on our phone, and we've not had a nuisance call since we got it. Highly recommended

Hold on a minute. Lighten up people

Before we all climb on the nuisance call band wagon...again, the link was only a bit of fun and meant to bring a smile or two.

He must be a busy chap 'cos he comes to us too. We have a notice on the door saying "no cold callers" but when you say to him "hey, can't you read?" the answer is usually "no" !!

We had a knock on the door one Sunday morning. The young chap wanted us to sign a petition asking to set up a no cold-calling zone.

We had a young chap knocking on our door recently ,said he was collecting for God
My response was that as I was much older than him I would most likely meet him first so I would pay him direct.

When I get a duster sellers at the door I just say... 'sorry mate but I'm out of work also'

Works for me!

As if my missus would dare start dusting while the footy is on MOB lol.

On a serious note my youngest brother in his younger days was out of work for quite a while so he and his best mate decided to have a go at this door knocking malarky, he travelled the UK for about two years and actually made a decent living out of it.
The stories he used to tell us about some of the situations they got into were sometimes hilarious but this one always makes me smile.

They were on a street in Somerset on a hot summers day when this old lady invited them in for a cuppa, while she was in the kitchen the two lads thought it was rather warm in the room they were in so our kid opened the window slightly. They didn't realise that the old lady's budgie was loose in the room and out of the window it went, when the lady returned she screamed out "where's Billy ?". The two lads just acted dumb (something they were good at) but later on along the street they spotted Billy on a hedge so our kid threw his bag on top of it and clutching it in his hand he took it back to the lady who gave him a ten pound note for his gallant act.
I said how could you take money off her when it was his fault it broke loose, he replied well she never bought anything from us and we were having a bad day and a mans got to eat.
Needless to say he is very successful in sales now.

Hi Ray

Sorry but I didn't find that funny and can only hope your younger brother lives by better morals now than he did then.

Regards

Keith

Onelife it's hard to live by morals alone in this corrupt world we live in, a sense of humour is all that keeps some people going.

Are we not going to rip the pants off politicians, bankers that nearly brought the country to its knees and men of the cloth who have abused young children in past while we talk about morals.

As I said in my post I was surprised at him, but if that situation was put in a sitcom on the tv the majority of viewers would find it funny.

Always up for a laugh me Ray but some topics of humour especially where they concern old ladies getting unwittingly fleeced by a couple of wide boys doesn't appeal to my sense of humour, neither dose humour about perverts abusing children.

Perhaps I'm just having one of my sensitive days
