Cup replay away to Leicester tonight.

We've got an injury list longer than the one for those available, and our caretaker manager has strongly indicated that he won't jeopardize league points for the cup. He thinks that our poor display recently against Derby was largely due to tiredness, so I suspect the team tonight will be full of his Academy kids, plus some fringe first teamers. Who knows, Alan Lee may get a game!

Going to watch it at t'pub, but I won't be surprised if we get a beating.

Juventus - disgraceful - referee - useless. Celtic would never have scored because of the manhandling in the box, the defenders weren't even interested in the ball coming in from the corner, they were more interested in wrestling and manhandling the opposition who were then unable to even go for the ball. How can anyone score a goal when they are being impeded and manhandled? They can't !

Celtic are young and inexperienced and if their only tactics to score a goal was getting a soft penalty or to try to impede the Juve goalkeeper then they wouldn't have scored if the game was still being played. Juve do know how to score and are often beautifully executed.

Teams in the Premiership do their push n shove routines every single game, it is not new and it will continue until the refs get a grip of the situation ... not good to watch I agree but it goes unpunished for the most part.

Celtic are young and inexperienced and if their only tactics to score a goal was getting a soft penalty or to try to impede the Juve goalkeeper then they wouldn't have scored if the game was still being played. Juve do know how to score and are often beautifully executed.

I have seen a bit of argy bargy, but I haven't seen holding/manhandling in the box as bad as that - ever. Challenges for the ball, yes, expected, but deliberate obstruction/manhandling, no ! It's soccer, not american football !

I don't like the way players behave, they will get away with whatever they are allowed to get away with. I'm pretty sure that what happened last night would not be allowed in the Premiership, I honestly was outraged.

Soccer - I know this is an old one but it's my pet hate, it has even started to pervade the British media.

It's not "soccer" it's football! It's the biggest participation sport on the planet, it's the only team game played with your feet (that I'm aware of) and it's been around for hundreds of years and has always been called football.

So here's the problem, Americans call their national sport "Football" even though it's a game in which the ball is carried and thrown - with your hands! am I missing something here?

So Americans please don't steal the name of the greatest game on earth, think of your own, perhaps "timeout" would be more appropriate.
