However, it's good to see considering what all the pundits were saying at the beginning of the season.
To be honest, I get totally sick of all the "experts" predicting that the promoted teams from the Championship are the faves for relegation. It's very lazy IMO, and I don't believe that these pundits have the first idea about the promoted teams.

That's right Romig ... not a prediction of any value, just a case of taking the easy option and stating the obvious.

ps .... stiff necks !!! ... with a three point difference, what rubbish is that from a fully grown man

We'll have less lip from the Prem's new boys!!!! You do realise if we had another three points we'd be joint top with a little known Manchester team so you're right. Three points do make a difference, especially if you're down at the bottom.

We got a bit of a pasting this week from the Arsenal but what a great game of attacking football it was from both teams. It could have gone either way but Arsenal's class told in the end. Some cracking goals!!!

I think Bournemouth's season is going to be seriously affected by injury problems.

Back to back away defeats for us but still third ????

We now have back to back home games and six points would be nice.

Putting head over parapet - lost yesterday at home 3 - 0! What a depressing weekend - wish we were going on a cruise soon!

Had a fun 10 days - travelling 1500 miles - away to Grimsby, Barrow & Tranmere (Tues night!) Perhaps the team are suffering from coach lag?

Mixed results for others I see - still early days and we live in hope!

It's a funny ol game ....

In 2013 Zaha takes a dive, gets a pen which costs us the game.

in 2015 Zaha take a dive, gets a pen which costs us the game.

Am I repeating myself ?

I am deffo a tad biased but the ball was struck and ran inside the penalty area but it was curving away to the left so when the foul was committed on Zaha it was now on, rather than inside, the white line.

Two questions arise ...

1. Does the whole of the ball have to be over all of the line for a penalty or is it valid if the ball is on the line ?

2. If Zaha is barged off the ball from the right hand side how did he fall to the right and into the penalty area ?

Watched the game on SKY, very scrappy and a draw would have been the right result but well done Mr Pardew.

So sorry to discover that you suffer from insomnia, RB, but I guess that I would too if I had to watch the Gooners week on week ;)

OBF ... Vardy is direct, a proper man and a non diver ... I won't mind at all if he scores :sarcasm:

We have Bournemouth next Saturday, would like to beat them but a shame about Callum Wilson :(

A further question comes to mind.... Why don't you just buy Zaha? Then he wouldn't cost you the game. If you can't afford him, then just knobble him early-doors and get him substituted.

Watford do NOT buy players who are prone to diving, tis against the grain ... knobble him it is then, that's deffo acceptable  .

Vardy must be a nightmare for defenders. He is quick, aggressive but very light and easily knocked over. Do you stand off him and risk him running past you or do you go in for the tackle knowing if you mistime it in any way you risk giving away the penalty.
Unfortunately some players play for the penalty and there have been many cases of deliberate diving over the years. Ronaldo was a past master at it. Maybe it is time some of these decisions were looked at on replay by the fifth official as in rugby. I know that stirs up a hornet's nest but at least it would cut out the cheating and refereeing mistakes, especially where the result of a game hinges on the penalty decision.

Watched the Champion's League highlights last night.

Just how did the 5th official (who's singular job is to judge if the ball went over the line) miss the Man City effort which cleared the line by over a foot????

Just shows what a waste of time (and money) they are...it's way past time for goal-line cameras in all high-level competitions.

As an aside...if that were me (missing a clear goal) then I would have donated my match fee to charity in shame.

For any twitter afficionado's, there is a Twitter account titled "You Had One Job". This example seems to fit the bill perfectly.

Poor old Bournemouth. Should have won easily, but you cant afford to gift goals and 2 points in the position they are in. At least Luton are staging some sort of recovery.

Do you think so Frank ?

Having watched the extended highlights on SKY's Match Choice program earlier this morning - Watford were certainly not at their best but based on goal scoring opportunities I thought that a draw was a very fair result. The goal Bournemouth scored was very well taken by Murray and the one they gifted to Watford's Ighalo was much appreciated, many thanks.

Other than that Watford's Watson hit the underside of the bar with a well struck volley that could have gone in, ditto the brilliant through ball struck too close to the goalkeeper by Anya. Bournemouth on the other hand had a wonderful overhead shot saved by Gomez and there is no excuse for missing a penalty ... even though it shouldn't have been awarded in the first place.

Equals 3:3 on balance  .

Gills were quite fortunate to get a point.

Oldham really surprised me considering their league position although they are under 'new manager syndrome'

3-3 is always good for the neutral but that was the first time we'd not won at home in nine.

We've got Luton on Tuesday in the Paint Pot cup.

I'm expecting a run out by many of the fringe players.
It'll be interesting to see if they can give the manager some decisions to make.
