It's not against the law to ride 2 a breast.
Also the bike was here 1st....so you have to slow down...shame.
The mindless morons are more than likely car drivers as well.

But it is illegal to cause an obstruction. Consideration is required on all sides.

And pedestrians were here before bikes, so perhaps those cycling on pavements should slow down to their pace too.

And unless it's a cycle path they shouldn't even be on the pavements, and too be fair, cars too. Although I've yet to see plod do anything about it. Probably not their job.

Common sense, that's a good one

I completely agree...however we are all not bad cyclists and as I appear to be the only one on this site I feel I should state that. And as I said in another post I don't cycle on the pavement.

Just saying... :sarcasm:

I don't think anyone suggested all cyclists are bad. However some are supremely selfish and arrogant. I'm sure the same applies to all other classes of road users too. And riding two abreast and occupying more road space than needed and forcing motorists to slow to their pace is one example. As is my earlier post of lorries doing effectively the same thing. Motorists failing to observe what is going on around them and driving at 30mph in a 60 limit or failing to give safe clearance for cyclists is another example.

I can accept that cyclists NEED to ride two abreast.

There is no doubt in my mind that it is safer for them to do so as it causes the idiots in BMWs ( mainly ) to slow down rather than routinely roaring past them in places where it is definitely unsafe to do so. We see a lot of this on Dorset's winding roads .... roads without passing points let alone pavements in many cases.
Keep smiling, it's good for your well being
