I like soccer, but not played like that ! Turning it off is not the solution and I am hoping that this kind of behaviour will not escalate.Manoverboard wrote:If you don't like it then turn it offMo2013 wrote:Quote "It's Italian soccer!" Mmm quite, and I don't like it !!!!!!

I think it was very generous of Leicester to let 'Uddersfield win their Cup replay last night...Especially after the result of their league match on New Year's Day

As a Leeds United supporter Romig I wonder what you think about Mark Robins as a replacement for Simon (Mr Personality) Grayson?
I rather admired Lee Clark and was sorry to see him depart, although did he not get on with your Chairman?
Neither would Nigel Adkins I surmise.

Re: Football
Although having adopted Ipswich Town as my team in the last 10 years (pressured by swmbo, a suffolk gal) My first team has always been juventus ( Italian parentage). i must say, I thought Celtic played well last night but they tired and we hit them, but they gave as good as we sent. As for the comments regarding the roughness of the game, as said, it is Italian football and it is played by men, never mind the namby pamby, overpaid divas of the premiership, this is how real football is played, This is why England have not won anything since 1966, the team in those days consisted of men and they could take the rough and tumble.

Re: Football
yes, but after they knock his premeirship divaness out of him he will be ok, when he actually gets round to playing football he is quite good. He didnt do too bad when they stuck an Italia shirt on him, got to the final.

My dad was a fullback. At corners his job was to protect the keeper from chargers.qbman1 wrote:...when you could shoulder charge the goalie AND the ball into the back of the net.

Watched a bit of the game...The 'Holiday Hit Squad' and 'DIY SOS: The Big Build' on the BBC was a tad more interesting.
Did you see the attendance..85454..some small League clubs don't get that many in a whole season, let alone one match...I wonder how much the tickets were?

Thought in was nice to see the two managers had a very warm hug after the final whistle last night
Does any footie fan share my belief that the "great one" will be back managing a Premiership club next year

Morning Footie fans
Yet another cracking game last night at White Hart Lane
The star of the show -Mr Bale - yet another young man who learnt his trade at St Mary's
Must be the delicious meat pies special to this great club, some folk just come to enjoy the pies
The football is secondary

Re: Football
I agree with Mob. There was very little to applaud apart from the 2 free kicks from Gareth Bale. Neither team really got going and Spurs were fortunate not to have a penalty awarded against them. I have seen penalties given for much less that that.
I was taught to be cautious
