That's OK, Meg. But do you go home and don your evening gown and tiara in time for lunch ?

I normally dress up...with sparkly jewellery etc, but then wear a christmas apron and a santa hat!
My eldest son wears shorts, as its always hot in our house.
All the toerags are dressed up when they arrive for lunch then get changed afterwards into the onesies and new slippers we buy for them every year. (as do the adults)

Come off it - we know you will be eating your dried up Iceland turkey breast on a tray, sitting on the sofa in your pants watching the Wizard of Oz !

Dont always get oven gloves ..but the tea towels get used till they fade, then put in the rag bag.qbman1 wrote:I was wondering what happens to all the used aprons and gloves from Christmas past ?!suespud wrote:I hunt out a new one every year![]()

The aprons if they fade get used for decorating ..gardening..or torn up for the rag bag..
Got a few of the better ones hanging the the cupboard as I use them when cooking and decorating cakes.

Mother Christmas
Where art thou, Mother Christmas?
I really wish I knew
Why Father should get all the praise
And no one mentions you.
I’ll bet you buy all the presents
And wrap them large and small
While all the time the dirty swine
Pretends he’s done it all.
So hail to Mother Christmas
The uncomplaining slave
And down with Father Christmas
That good - for - nothing knave.

Re: Christmas Day dress code - at home!
My meagre offering:
Snowman
I made myself a snowman
Perfect as can be
I thought I's keep him as a pet
And let his sleep with me
I made him some pyjamas
A pillow for his head
And then last night he ran away
But first he wet the bed
Snowman
I made myself a snowman
Perfect as can be
I thought I's keep him as a pet
And let his sleep with me
I made him some pyjamas
A pillow for his head
And then last night he ran away
But first he wet the bed
