300 plus posts for a load of cobblers seems good to me Towny. And as for talking to yourself you should practice more. You might enjoy the conversation

New Years resolution - make friends with the farmer opposite - then I don't have to go to the shops just for milk.

Once I start talking to myself Merv, I will be ringing up the men in white coats to take me away.

Re: The Children's Off Topic Thread
A really good read Ancient Mariner, I am trying to locate a similar book called "The Bitter Ocean" by David Fairbank White which has a few paragraphs about HMS Walker the ship my dad served on which went on to the Arctic Convoys until 1945.Not so ancient mariner wrote:I enjoyed reading 'The Cruel Sea'
My dad was 90 last Sunday and we had a party for him but the highlight of the day was when he was presented with his Arctic Star Medal which I applied for from the MOD.
The big shame about this medal is that it took too long to commission it and thousands of Russian Convoy veterans passed away before they issued it.
Dad is in line to recieve the Ushakov Medal from Russia but it might take months to arrive from Moscow so fingers crossed he survives long enough to receive it.
Have a photo of him at the party with his medal but can't seem to upload it on here, Any tips ?
