Brain Doctors

Unread post by Stephen »

Has anyone been watching the programs on BBC2 and Channel 5 on brain surgery. Fascinating stuff.

The good lady, although in the medical profession can't watch them, but they don't bother me one bit. I can be eating and watching them....with a nice bottle of Chianti...fffffff ;-)

I watch these programmes and think to myself, 'what have I got to complain about'. Any ailments I've got pail into insignificance when you see what these people with brain tumours are going through. And when you see them being told they can only help give them a bit more time or they only have months to live, well, you can't imagine how that sort of news must feel. Devastating.

If you have your health you have everything.

Not seen that one, Stephen, but I do occasionally watch the 'Embarrassing Bodies' series ... even there, when you see what some people have to endure on a daily basis, it makes me thankful that I do not.

As my grandmother used to say .. the two most important things in your life will be 'health and time'.

My father in law always used to say when you wake up in the morning and you can walk to the window and see it is raining, you can hear it is raining and you can tell it is raining, it is a good day.

OBF

At my age

Every day is a good day

. . . . and the bonus is spending my day in beautiful rural Dorset overseeing Poole harbour from the lofty gfw towers

. . . . and today the sun has got his hat on

Not to keen on medical progs - I prefer Jeremy Kyle - he is really "cool"

Strange how I can watch any medical program and not bat an eye lid, yet I can't watch horror movies.
