It said on the news this morning that they have jet packs "in case of emergency" but they have never had to use them yet

We signed up a while ago and we still stand outside whenever we receive an e-mail to tell us when it is going to go across our area, so long as it is a fairly clear evening. I just find it incredible how dead on they are with all their details - I find the whole thing amazing.

I, on the other hand, find the whole thing depressingly boring ... prefer under water exploration me.

They'd be lucky if that was all they lost. The solar panels would be off and on a neighbours house before you could say free energy :)
