We had a lovely Valentine's lunch in a restored dining car on a heritage steam railway near us. But what is it with the woman a couple of tables away who spent most of the time studying her phone and ignoring the man she was with?
To make up for that a couple asked if we'd take their photo because he'd just proposed.

Re: Happy Valentine's Day
We have had a fab weekend too, although not meant as anything to do with Valentines.
Had a lovely meal in The Star Inn in York on friday night, with some friends.
Spent the day in York on saturday.
A successful visit to the Pandora shop...
Then I found a pair of red Gabor shoes in a sale...Love them !!! Got a coat in the Ness shop..in a sale too with an extra 14% off for Valentines day !!!
Today we went to Fountains Abbey for a walk around the snowdrops, then to Goldsborough Hall http://www.goldsboroughhall.com/dining/ ... on_tea.php
for afternoon tea, which was very very yummy
Drove home tonight, hubby already left for a flight to LHR.
Busy but wonderful

There's just no pleasing some women. I pulled out all the stops but for some reason my gift of love didn't go down well.
It took the hospital an hour and half to remove it.

Steady on Merv, let's not go silly. I start going down that road of extravagance she'll expect it every year
