Supposed to be the coldest night tonight according to Flo on the BBC news this morning. I'll take that info with a pinch of rock salt.

Jolson came though his op OK - apparently he has a burst ear drum. Pretty much back to normal now, although decidedly stroppy that he's not allowed out yet. He's on ear drops, antibiotics and steroid tablets. Any volunteers to get those down his throat ?!

We use a syringe-like device. Far easier, and less dangerous to the fingers!

Good luck with that.
We use to give Monty his worming/flea treatment orally but I got fed up being mauled, plus he use to just spit them out. He now has the pipette liquid on the skin, much easier........once you get hold of him.

At the moment, he's still ravenous after his anaesthetic so he's on his food like a Jack Russell on a Scotch Egg. I ground the tablets up this morning and mixed them with his breakfast and he swallowed them with no risk to life or limb.Stephen wrote:qbman1 wrote:Jolson came though his op OK - apparently he has a burst ear drum. Have I mentioned how gorgeous he is?
Our late lamented cat had to take daily drugs for years. We used to buy nasty plastic value-type Cheddar, the rubbery stuff, and wrap that round his tablets. Mind you, he was a gannet and would eat anything.
