Thanks everyone for your kind wishes (and to Mr Edgington for his birthday card). This evening we had a meal in the old police station in Keswick (now a Wetherspoons: they have retained the old court much as it was and there is an option to have your meal in the cells). We then moved on to the Theatre by the Lake to see an excellent production of The Great Gatsby.

I remember the theatre when it was a mobile contraption consisting of several blue boxes side by side. I think it may have been called Century Theatre, before the splendid new one was built.
