Because they're too stupid to know which is the front?

Trend started in the U.S. and most of them don't know whether they are coming or going

The same reason that the same people wear their jeans around their thighs - displaying their backside to all & sundry?

A need to look daft perhaps?

So that if they turn round to talk to the person behind them their eyes will be shaded.

If you want the correct answer, t be clue is in the name
Baseball players turn them round so as not to obscure their view when pitching or fielding
Like most fashions that are bastardised by idiots the original meaning got list when adopted into pop culture
The reason people wear their jeans half way down their arses, is taken from prison culture where it a sign of a person's willingness to engage in sodomy, it was again adopted into rap culture but the original meaning was lost
So next time you see an idiot yoof wearing his jeans round their a*se, you smile in the knowledge that they have no idea what it actually means

Hi old poer

To stop their ponytails getting bleached?

I think it's just a fashion statement just like when some would buy a brand new pair of jeans then cut holes in them, knees pockets etc.

Regards

OL

Talking of that, lady S and I saw some young chap coming out of Tesco's the other week wearing his jeans round his ar*e, well I say round his ar*e, more like half way down his legs showing most of his underwear. For one we thought it was indecent, and secondly, how the hell do they manage to stay up.

But do you have your baseball cap on back'ards and yer trousis round yer knees whilst you are milking said cows, Graham ?

Anyways, most of the yokels down your way have their trousers hanging low as they are only held up by a piece of bag string !

Why is it always lads who wear their jeans like that, never the girls??

On a point of order, baseball caps are always worn with the peak facing the front. Garments with the peak at the back are called "IQ reducers" :sarcasm: :sarcasm:

The people I see wearing them, if their IQ was reduced, it would be a negative number.

I take Batty's point about the origin. However, few of the oiks I see wearing them look like Pro Baseball players!

I can't understand why people pay good money for jeans with holes in the knee, I remember getting a clout from my mum for going home with ripped trousers.

What really annoys me is people that sit in restaurants with baseball caps on.

Hats worn inside is something tha I can't remember from my childhood. I remember being told that women could wear their hats in church & at social gatherings but never men. I'm surprised at the number of male characters who wear their hats inside in TVs series which are set in the 40s, 50s & 60s. Though I can't remember the 40s (or much of the 50s) I'm sure men (including wearers of uniform) took off their hats when entering a house.

It is what is known as the 'doofus syndrome'.

Although the one that has confused me ever since I was a kid is why do people wear hats in a car or indoors ?

Thought you might like this, Kendhni.
On the left is the selector for the Borg Warner Type 35 gearbox that was an £82 3s 4d option and reduced the top speed to 79mph. But there is enough headroom for a driver to wear a jaunty trilby – in 1964, some firms would actually give their commercial travellers lessons in the correct forms of hat wear – and the vinyl upholstery is easily cleaned.
From today's Telegraph, article about the mk1 Cortina. :D

I often wear a baseball cap when I've driving as it helps keep the sun out of my eyes.
