I had forgotten that, I wonder if anyone won one but just couldn't go, can't remember if spending money was included? but I venture not THAT many people have the time to go on a world cruise of 100 nights & if there was no OBC could they afford the spending money...must run into thousands.

i agree it would cost a few pounds just in drinks, and you would not want to go all that way and not see what the world has to offer..

i would have liked to have had the head ache though. :D

Spoke to a couple of people on our Sou-Syd leg who said they had 'won' their cruise but don't recall if they were on for whole cruise. Also spoke to a couple who were on for SF-Syd and they had booked 4days before flying out for £1400 each including flights. They were in an inside cabin but stil an amazing price considering we paid approx. £7000 each for a balcony including flights.

Indeed, Dorsetcruiser, good value and what is not often realised is that the getaway fares usually include the flights but its best to check.

The lady who won on the GE cruise we were on didn't look at all excitied to have won. We heard later that she was worried about leaving her pets at home. I would have been beside myself if my name had been drawn and would have jumped fully clothed into the swimming pool, being careful not to spill my champagne of course.

Having said that friends we were with wouldn't have been able to go as she has a medical condition and her hospital consultant will not allow her to be more than 4 hours flying time away from the UK.
