I've managed to load an avatar, but not one of my own pictures (THANK GOD I hear you cry).

I simply did a Google Images search for what I wanted (Castle Hill - a local landmark) and hovered over the available pictures until I found one smaller than 250x250. Then copied it into MY Pictures and loaded it to here from there.

Simples!

I would like to add my thanks to David for his work.
I am a complete idiot with computers but I managed to find the site, so given time many more will also get here.
I don't post too often but do like to read the comments so once again, many thanks.

Wow! Isn't this great! I've been on some of the other forums but they seem to take up so much room with pictures and goodness knows what. It's fantastic to "see" so many familiar faces. It's made my weekend.

Finally managed to get in (I am not that good at these sort of things and still have to sort out a photo)

Anyways, a huge thank you to David for sorting this out... with being housebound in the snow I was getting a bit lonely. If a make a few cock-ups on the way finding my way around I hope you will forgive me...
