I'm delighted to hear it. Hopefully, vet was correct and it was caused by ear infection.

Thanks, Annie. It is beginning to look likely that the infection was the cause of the problem. Hopefully it will be a long-term fix but I am just a bit worried what will happen once the antibiotics are finished.

Assuming cats work the same as humans, Gill will be more knowledgeable than I, but my understanding is that once the antibiotics knock the infection on the head, if the diagnosis is correct, no more fits. If there's still a problem with his ears, different antibiotic.

That sounds logical. The first antibiotic didn't have much effect but then after they did a culture, they put him on this new one which seems to be working. Presumably, though, there's a limit to how many antibiotics they can use before he starts to build an immunity ?

Sorry, sounding a bit gloomy now. The cat's better so let's make the most of it !

Up and down at the moment. Took a couple of prescribed tablets to stop the catheter spasms, one last night and one this morning. Not any more. Been cra**ing like a good'n today. Feels like someone's had their fist up my ar*e at the he moment. Bruised

Can't wait for Friday to get rid of the plumbing....hopefully. Fed up with it all now.

Currently slurping a drop of fire water with a Jamesons chaser to follow.
