At 9am I've got to run a training session for new Junior Doctors - most of whom hadn't even been born when I started work here!

Don't want to speak too soon, but the puddy seems extremely well at the moment. No fits for nearly a week and he's behaving sort of normally. Fingers crossed the drugs keep working their magic !

I'd be happy if it wasn't a problem at all. Roll on Friday, getting fed up with it now.

I'm delighted to hear it. Hopefully, vet was correct and it was caused by ear infection.qbman1 wrote:Don't want to speak too soon, but the puddy seems extremely well at the moment. No fits for nearly a week and he's behaving sort of normally. Fingers crossed the drugs keep working their magic !
Thanks for the update.

Thanks, Annie. It is beginning to look likely that the infection was the cause of the problem. Hopefully it will be a long-term fix but I am just a bit worried what will happen once the antibiotics are finished.

Assuming cats work the same as humans, Gill will be more knowledgeable than I, but my understanding is that once the antibiotics knock the infection on the head, if the diagnosis is correct, no more fits. If there's still a problem with his ears, different antibiotic.qbman1 wrote:Thanks, Annie. It is beginning to look likely that the infection was the cause of the problem. Re: The Children's Off Topic Thread
That sounds logical. The first antibiotic didn't have much effect but then after they did a culture, they put him on this new one which seems to be working. Presumably, though, there's a limit to how many antibiotics they can use before he starts to build an immunity ?anniec wrote:Assuming cats work the same as humans, Gill will be more knowledgeable than I, but my understanding is that once the antibiotics knock the infection on the head, if the diagnosis is correct, no more fits. Can't wait for Friday to get rid of the plumbing....hopefully. Fed up with it all now.
Currently slurping a drop of fire water with a Jamesons chaser to follow.

Never mind, chin up. There's always someone worse off.
