Weird and wonderful dreams

Unread post by Onelife »

Had this weird dream last night which involved a budgie and our dog Gipsy.

We haven't got a budgie but the dream went something like this.....l decided to let the budgie out of its cage for a quick fly around knowing it would be safe with our dog because she is so well trained....anyway the little sod only chased the budgie round until it cornerd it. I shouted at the dog to leave the budgie alone but she just looked at me, turned and the budgie was gone....The worst part of the dream was that l could hear the budgie chirping inside the dog.....Thank gawd l woke when l did as l don't know how to perform a cesarean on a dog.

Can you recall any of your weird or wonderful dreams?

Was the budgie offering a hot racing tip?

Many years ago I dreamed that if I held my cricket bat horizontally in front of me I could fly. I was very disappointed when I woke up.

They do say if you tell your 'Friday Night' dreams they come true, there's a little rhyme about it but I can't remember what it is.

I know it starts off ..

Friday night dreams on a Saturday told ..

Anyone else know it.

Never heard it, DQ, but Mr Google knows, as always !!

Friday night's dream,
On the Saturday told,
Is sure to come true,
Be it never so old.

Apparently, it's an old English proverb

I once dreamt City won the Premier League.
You can't really believe dreams can you?
I was taught to be cautious

I had a strange dream the other day. I dreamt I owned a Rolls Royce, when I woke up all I had was the horn.

We had a friend who had the most amazing dreams and seemed to be able to remember them in the morning. He and his wife often came on holiday with us and each morning at breakfast we would ask - So what was the dream last night? Now whether he was making it up I don't know - although he wasn't the sort of man who would do that - but I would say over 80% of the time he would remember. Alas he's no longer with us but he did have some fantastic dreams.

Hi Frank....I often go to bed thinking about horses (don't go there Stephen) hoping that l will dream about the winner in a race on the following days card....It hasn't happened yet but you'll be the first to know when it dose.

There is a horse running called Silent Dreamer (3.50 Windsor) today but l won't be having a 'flutter' on it :)

Keith

Unlike Stephen, who often wakes up with a horse's head on his pillow !!

Just lately I've started to consider myself lucky if I can remember what I've done during the day, never mind what I had a dream about during the night !!!

Try having an afternoon nap - then hopefully you will have a dream. Aren't they supposed to be the brain's way of putting your thoughts and experiences into some kind of context ?

So that's why I've been getting painful spasms. I'm frightened to go to bed tonight now in case I start having 'weird' dreams.

I feel a large whisky coming on later.
