Priceless OBF! Priceless!oldbluefox wrote:Love this from one of the fans' forums:
"Apart from the equalising goal and the final whistle I think my favourite moment in the game is when my missus said about five minutes from the end that she thought Cheltenham would score again.
That eased the tension beautifully, well done love".![]()
We were helping at a Fete all day yesterday and came home exhausted, stopped at the fish and chip shop and then collapsed in a heap. When we woke up I checked the score and it was still 2 - 1 to Spurs but i couldn't stay up any longer. This morning the radio alarm went off with someone on Classic FM raving about Ranieri, so I sent you the text straight away.
Still a great day for football.

Not that I follow the Rich List (sorry, Premier League !) much these days but I have to add my congratulations to Leicester who have shown that it is not all about money. How's your head OBF ?!
Also, if you are interested, Banbury United gained promotion back to the Southern Premier at the first attempt yesterday after beating Taunton Town 2-0 in the play-off final.

Congrats to Banbury Utd whose supporters will be feeling much as I do today. Also to Burnley who stuck by their manager and have returned to the Prem at the first attempt.

Great news Foxy. Have a pint for me! I'm not a big footie fan, but I am a big fan of the underdog!
And I hope any fans who had the courage to stick a fiver on their team at 5000-1 at the start of the season are enjoying their new riches. Did OL see that one coming?

An absolutely brilliant achievement by the Foxes and will probably never be repeated.
Well done to them.
It wasn't too long ago that the Gills were playing them in league one, which is exactly where we will be next season unless the footballing Gods are smiling on us.
all to play for on Sunday against our knuckledragging friends from Sarf Lundun (Millwall)

The last time I saw them playing they looked poor and all over the place so you should pick up three points on Saturday Barney. Good luck and may the GAOTU be with you!!

Had to laugh at the news coverage on BBC Breakfast yesterday. There was a reporter outside the King Power bravely trying to big up the idea that "the party was still going on". In the background there was just one dozy-looking bloke waving a flag - and apart from a pile of empty bottles, that was it !!

Had I been there it could well have been me.
I saw that reporter. Much ado about nothing. I think BBC had probably paid one of the workers to stand there waving the flag.

All ready to celebrate tomorrow with my champers and Salt & Victory crisps. I have waited 132 years for this moment (don't look bad for my age eh?) and I'm going to enjoy the moment.
