According to the BBC website it's 20 - 00 in the Germany Poland game. That's one hell of a score and I thought it was a late kick off

Now someone's had a free kick. Do they normally have to pay? No wonder we keep losing. No-one ever has any change.

Re: Euro 2016
Vardy and Sturridge - not good enough to start but scored the goals that mattered. Doesn't that tell you something Roy?
Build up to goal is still too slow. Wales tried to hold out but we should have scored long before we did but we've got to get to the penalty box before the defence get back and organised. I despair with England's tactics at times.

Re: Euro 2016
Yaaay I'm on a roll 3 correct scores and one correct result in the last 4, Wales were nowhere near the side that beat the Slow Vacs but due to a goalkeeping error they took the lead but England dominated the game from start to finish.
Lets not get too excited though because England need to be a lot more positive if they reach the knock out stages, there are teams out there that will pick their pockets if they play as loose as they did today.
We have a few players with the ability to run at defenders but it doesn't seem to happen that often, what I would like to see is a player running at the opposition with a player at the rear in support. If the player is beaten by the defender it often results in a loose ball which the player in support picks up before the defence has time to recover. Believe me I used this strategy when I coached our local colts to success and they were only kids not multi millionaire players.
Good luck to Wales in their match against Russia lets hope they stuff em.

Just seen the news about the sad death of the MP Jo Cox. These things always put other things into perspective.

Now what was Gareth Bale saying before the match............................ ?
Sometimes these things come back to bite you on the backside. It just made winning that bit more enjoyable.
Pleased to hear there were no reports of any disturbances after the match.

Talented he may be but Bale is a cocky sod so I particularly enjoyed him being closed down for most of the game. He needs to learn the rules, too, as he was the first to go over and challenge the linesman following Vardy's goal. What a tit !

Re: Euro 2016
He was running around all match long appealing. Truth is he was pretty well marked out of the match and was ineffective apart from the free kick. He was fortunate that Hart was still checking his dandruff when he took the kick and made a girlie attempt at keeping the ball out. A keeper such as Hart should not be beaten from the best part of 40 yards out.qbman1 wrote:Talented he may be but Bale is a cocky sod so I particularly enjoyed him being closed down for most of the game. Back to Bale - you would have to be a p***ock to appear with that silly top knot. Good grief, what is that about? It's sillier than his Alice band.

Re: Euro 2016
Yet another game spoilt by crowd trouble and Croatia looked like walking away with it until their fans started throwing flares onto the pitch and then they started fighting among themselves, something to do with a North-South divide in the country.
At least the score gave me another correct result in the BBC Predictor league and Spain have just done it for me too, only the Germans have let me down in the last eight matches.
But guess what ? Cheryl is still 20 points in front of me.

You have to question security at these matches. After the terrorist attacks in France you would expect security to be particularly thorough with additional surveillance inside the ground. So you ask how these clowns manage to smuggle flares and fireworks into the ground? Identify them and lock them away.
Raybo, you're going to have to up your game if you are going to beat Cheryl.

Re: Euro 2016
Foxy I'm gutted, in this phase of the game I have got 5 correct results 3 exact scores and only 1 wrong prediction giving me 170 points in this round but I have gone down in the overall league. What makes it worse is that the overall leader only scored 20 more points to jump 3 places to the top so there is a fine line between success and failure.oldbluefox wrote:You have to question security at these matches. Spain let me down as I predicted 2-0 but they breezed in at 3-0 and that prediction would have given me an extra 30 points and I would have soared up the league.
I agree the security at the grounds seems to be a bit slack which is strange because my younger brother and his mates were frisked quite vigorously when they entered the grounds and all they had on was football shirts and shorts. If these flares are marine flares they are about 9 inches long and 2.5 inches in diameter so should be easy to detect.
One thing that was evident was the fact that the small band of Gendarmes stayed on the running track and let a few match stewards to sort out the brawling Croatians.

Don't worry Cubie by that time they'll have spent all their money on beer and those flares are at least a tenner each.

It does seem poor, to say the least, with a raised terrorist alert, that fans are able to smuggle a form of explosives in. A stick of dynamite is no bigger!oldbluefox wrote:You have to question security at these matches. Re: Euro 2016
The more you think about it the more scary it becomes. In UK grounds nowadays troublemakers are identified on CC and removed by stewards before anything major kicks off. Consequently these clowns are soon dealt with but in France it seems nothing happens until a major disturbance and then we get out the tear gas and run around like headless chickens instead of nipping trouble in the bud.

Rumours are that there is a shirt in the England dressing room with Cubie 1 on it so Hart is dropped.
