Bye, Jolson

Unread post by qbman1 »

Sadly, Jolson's health deteriorated rapidly after the weekend and he knew, and we knew that it was time to say "goodbye" last night so he joins Norman, Nero, Cindy, Marmalade, Kit Kat, Fluffy, Tiny and Mori in the garden !

Bye, old friend......

Ahh always sad to lose a family pet cubie, beautiful looking cat and he won't be alone.

We are truly fortunate to be able to chose the time for our pets, to prevent useless suffering

Sorry to hear that Cubie. Always sad to lose a pet but in time it's overtaken by the joy of our memories with them.

That's so true, SS. Always a difficult decision to make but you seem to know when the time is right and our Jolson went so peacefully.

Aww that is so sad - I admit I'm not really a "cat" person but my son has acquired a Coone Maine kitten - Lola - and she is absolutely gorgeous.

They will certainly grow on you Blod. My parents really didn't like cats until they met our two and they became besotted with them

He looked rather like my dear old Holly, my childhood pet.

It's so sad when a pet dies, but at least you can be happy that you gave him a good life

Thank you all for your kind words. It is indeed very, very sad but it is the kindest thing you can do for your animals when their time comes. Difficult for us but, as was mentioned earlier (I think it was Merv), we are left with the happy memories and the knowledge that we did the right thing.

It broke my OH's heart when we had to do the same for Felix.
Sad indeed, but sometime needs must.

Strange how a simple little cat gets himself so ingrained into your life. Jols will have been gone a week ago tomorrow but we keep expecting him to pop up in the house and garden. He was always under your feet and knew what he wanted - and exactly how to get it. I know it was the right time for him to go but we miss him.
