Absolutely Stephen.....what is needed now is clear thinking from all political parties with a resolve to come together for the future of our Great country.

Absolutely delighted to hear Cameron has made anothet u-turn in that he has changed his mind and is now stepping down ...hopefully his mate Osborne won't be long in announcing his departure also.

will QBob be so magnanimous in defeat and resign his position......I doubt it. but no doubt the rather bitter "stay in the club" supporters will be either trying to save face or like the jocks, calling for another vote as it was not to their liking
what is done is done, so suck it up and get on with getting us out and getting the UK back on its feet

Well, I've watched more television in the run up to the referendum that at any time in history! One thing I did notice - while the Brexiteers largely allowed the Remains to speak and get their point across (bear in mind I can only comment on the programmes I saw), the Remains were so rude, interrupting and shouting over points they didn't agree with. This morning, on Facebook, there is no gloating from the winning side, but many, many posts from the losing side expressing fear and being very nasty to those that voted the other way, and using some absolutely foul language, the latter mostly from young graduates.

I was behind a couple of said "young graduates" at the coffee machine in Waitrose this morning, agreeing "how dreadful" it all was and how they should emigrate. The machine is the simplest and most intuitive you could find - but could this lad work it (despite the clear on-screen instructions)? I was so tempted to say something like "if you want to join the brain drain, you're too late it's already gone" but I held my tongue !!

It will be difficult for a while no doubt but at least our destiny will be in our own hands.

I started off as a ' Remain ' supporter but switched as I began to foresee nothing but grief and discontent in the EU ruined Countries of Southern Europe plus an ever increasing requirement for us and others to fund many additional bailouts.

I am certain that great excitement will be in the hearts and minds of the good folk of Denmark, Sweden and Holland this morning as they warm to the idea of conducting their own EU referendums ... even France ( Frexit ) could potentially join us.
Keep smiling, it's good for your well being

Is it likely that most of the "western" EU countries will ultimately vote "leave"? Theoretically, they will all form a new "union" and the whole cycle starts over again !!

Mrs Krankie is already pushing for a new Scottish independence referendum. Why do I get the feeling that all those Jocks who voted "Remain" yesterday were really voting for Scottish independence ?!

On the news last night Farage was saying that if the Remain majority was less than 2 million then it would be down to the "extended" registration period and action would need to be taken - so as the Brexit majority was about 1.2 million should the same apply?

Posted on the petition.parliament.uk site:

Petition
EU Referendum Rules triggering a 2nd EU Referendum

We the undersigned call upon HM Government to implement a rule that if the remain or leave vote is less than 60% based a turnout less than 75% there should be another referendum.

PLEASE, Nooooooo - I can't go through all that again !!

I think many politicians and the rich and famous were just so out of touch with how EU policies have actually affected the "ordinary people", who have effectively voted for change. They simply don't know (or maybe don't care?) what life is like in the council estates of Boston and Bolton.
100% agree. All very well them telling us all how well off we are. They want to try moving out of their ivory towers and see what is actually happening throughout the land.
For too long politicians have taken the ordinary chap in the street for granted and they have a mistaken belief that we are all enjoying the same sense of joie de vivre as themselves.
When the Labour and Tory parties came up to Blackpool for the conferences it must have been hell on earth for them in a sad, run-down seaside town and they could not get back down to London quickly enough. However it made no difference to any investment to rectify matters. They just relocated their conferences!!!
I was taught to be cautious

It's all a bit of a mess really!

But no doubt the Leave campaign know what they are going to do next to sort it out (is there a tongue in cheek smilie?)

Wouldn't it be good if the Jocks voted for independence, applied to join the EU .....and were refused ?!

The one person who impressed throughout the whole campaign was Laura Kuenssberg.

Even handed but searching I thought.

I'm amazed how the broadcasters do it. David Dimbleby was still going strong this morning - and he is no spring chicken and Jeremy Vine sounded fresh as a daisy on Radio 2 at 12
