Re: Euro 2016
Hodgson should should have known prior to the first match what his prefered side was... he made far to many changes which upset the balance and confidence of the team.
Ah well better to have gone out now than have been slaughtered by France in the next round.
Come on you daffodils

Re: Euro 2016
England were spectacularly bad and it has to be said that Woy just got it wrong. I think we missed Lallana's drive and passion and the "tactics" were all over the place. In the first three games, we looked good going forward with the wing backs out wide but for some reason, Woy decided to play with two wide front man which effectively played our own full backs out of the game. As for Rooney - what was wrong with him? He should have been pulled off at least half an hour before he was to give Rashford's youthful inexperience and enthusiasm a chance. When he ran at them right at the death, the Vikings didn't like it up them!
England were not that bad in the first half but what did Woy say to them at half time? They came out like they had already lost. Bit of a worry that Woy's resignation speech was already written out....?!

The highlight for me last night was that Betway advert at half-time with the polar bear.

Re: Euro 2016
English players are frantically googling "football" after playing Iceland.
Roy Hodgson has just been made prime minister. Well, he has a fantastic record of leaving Europe swiftly.
Sterling's fallen as the country has left Europe - it's about time he was dropped.

Not to my knowledge - however, I'm fond of Iceland, and I wish them well. I've got nothing against England, I just like Iceland and I'm counting the days to going back there.

This weekend would be a good time - it will be quiet there as most of the resident population will be in France !

No good for us at the moment, it's too light for too long, and too warm for what we want. Can't wait to get back though, and looking forward to some wonderfully cold weather.qbman1 wrote:This weekend would be a good time - it will be quiet there as most of the resident population will be in France !

No - not strange, just hunting for awesome photography, and I need the dark skies and also colder weather to achieve what I'm planning.

Try "Attachments" (bottom left of page) then "Add files", upload the photo then click "place inline" (bottom middle). There is a size limit so you might have to re-size the photo.Boris+ wrote:I did try to put a photo on the forum, but no luck.

I'll have to work out how to resize the file. Is that ok with raw - or does it need to be jpeg?

Re: Euro 2016
Dunno, but I've found .jpg and .png files are OK. I just re-size mine with the "edit" option in windows. Right click on the image thumbnail and you get a box which enables you to do a simple edit like re-sizing and croppingBoris+ wrote:I'll have to work out how to resize the file. Perhaps for the best or we are going to get in trouble with the ModPlods for being wildly off-topic !!

Re: Euro 2016
(Don't worry, I'll get it back on topic!)
After Italia 90 and Euro 96, the was a resurgence of England support like never before.
During tournaments, everywhere was flying the cross of St George flag, from their houses and their cars.
But, following all these years of years of optimism, the England teams repeatedly failed to deliver so expectations have dropped further with every tournament
For this tournament, I've hardly seen any where flying the flags and there was no real hope or expectation.
But England have even managed to drop below these low expectations for Euro 2016.
Shockingly bad.
I'll be supporting Iceland in the next round - they deserve their place

Looking through the rules:
"Members are allowed to insert an image within their post with a maximum height of 300px and a maximum width of 300px".
GillW, I'll be joining you. I was mightily impressed with them last night and if ever I need a dentist in Iceland I know who I'll pick!!!
