Thanks both. I'm not an economist but it looks to me that the promised Armageddon has failed to materialise. So much for the expert opinions, lies and scare tactics. They make the Brexit bus look totally insignificant by comparison.

We were warned interest rates would have to rise. Now Mark Carnage says they may fall. Not great on making his mind up. I wonder if Canada are missing him?

Canadians we met told us Canada did not want Mark Carnage to go. Apparently they think he is amazing at his job and he is his own man and would not be brow beaten by anyone.

Armageddon could occur at any time in the future with the now unstable markets and the uncertainty globally, not just economic. Dead cat bounce was always likely. Someone somewhere had made a great deal of money.

Our funds have increased too (by much more). But it just depends on when some types are dumped. Fingers crossed for the future. But much too early to tell at this stage.

It does, of course, depend on where you are invested. I've got holdings in a couple of banks, which have tanked, holdings in other areas which show the normal amount of fluctuation, and holdings in physical metals (gold/ silver / palladium) which have shot up.

I was pleased to hear Theresa May saying that if she were to become leader she would appoint a Brixiteer to head the EU exit committee....hopefully not slimy Ian dastedly Smith. l think Andrea Leadson would be ideal for this position but wouldn't be surprised if she finds herself moving into 11 downing street once Osborne gets his marching orders?

He and his girlfriend have both been Heads of Dept (Maths and MFL) in a British International School in Ho Chi Minh City - until today when they move to Budapest - and they say he has TOTALLY messed up everything. The problem with Gove apart from him being a snake in the grass is that he has always been a reformer....Unfortunately many of the things he reforms would have been better left as they were.
