Gove is obviously a conniving, backstabbing, deceitful little sh*t.

BoJo had to be stopped at all costs and regardless of how, me thinks.

As somebody succinctly said of Boris ... " We are aiming to elect a Prime Minister, not a school Prefect ".

If it was Gove then so what, the Country and indeed the Tory Party are bigger than one man.

The EU no longer has authority to instruct the UK to do anything

We will do what we want and when we want to.

If we decide to take six months to invoke article 50, then six months it will be.
That is our call.

If they decide that they cannot do a trade deal without free movement, then no trade deal will be struck.
We'll simply fall back to WTO arrangements and get on with trading with the rest of the world.

If the EU say that there will be a 10% tariff on cars from the EU, we will decide if we want to buy them or not.
The ball is well and truly in the UK's side of the court, but the EU refuses to see that. (so far)

I would also add that The Independent is hardly independent where this subject is concerned.
It was radically Remain and still can't accept defeat.
The Editor seems to think that if he keeps producing unfounded stats people will start to believe him.
"millions regret voting leave" - no one I know does.

...and that just isn't going to happen. The motor manufacturers need sales to the UK and the governments of Italy, Spain, Germany and France rely heavily on the income from such sales whereas we can just buy more cars from outside the EU. If the EU were to try to impose such a levy then it would swiftly be "bye bye EU" !

One thing I am certain of is that we are and have been conned and will end up getting stuffed. Now if I lose out by 10% of disposable income it could mean dropping one Caribbean cruise a year or dusting the moths off my savings account. However to the family on £15000 a year it means a degree of hardship.

Yes Qb who knows. I am really just following my instinct. When asked why I was a Remainer, I said that I didn't think that a self serving narrative being pushed by Farage, Johnson or Gove was likely to be in the best interest of people generally. To date this would appear to be correct.

Also "millions regret voting leave"... how many regret voting "remain"? I don't see that figure mentioned anywhere.

Exactly, Boris may well be a popular choice amongst the voters but the Tory Grandees obviously had other ideas so arranged to stitch him up.
