Re: The Battle Of The Somme
No chance of us forgetting we have four great uncles on memorial stones in France and another great uncle who emigrated to Canada died in the battle of Vimy Ridge fighting for the Canadian Expeditionary Force and his name is on the Vimy Memorial.
We were in Vimy for the Remembrance Day last November and when the bugle sounded the last post there wasn't a dry eye among the hundreds of French, Canadian and British people there.
We will never forget them.

Has anyone visited the National Memorial Arboretum ? it is a very relaxing day out with 150 acres of gardens and woodland. There is an excellent visitor centre with clean toilets and a nice restaurant, the site is quite good for disabled people too they even have electric buggy's that take you round the site.
