Re: Euro 2016
The Welsh dream is over but what an adventure they have had. They seemed to lack a bit of quality tonight and Bale was poor but they have done exceptionally well considering where they have come from.

I am very proud Ray and this is coming from a very unenthusiastic football fan - you would not believe how this event has affected us as a nation - unbelievable patriotism - I bet there will be a few sore heads tomorrowRaybosailor wrote:You can say that your proud of the lads, I would.Whynd1 wrote:What can I say, not a lot at the moment

On a plus thank goodness we no longer have to suffer screaming Robbie Savage and what was Ryan Giggs doing sat there? This is the man who picked and chose which games he would play in for Wales. I could think of more deserving Welshmen.
There should be no greater honour than representing your country as seen from those men tonight.

Ryan Giggs has absolutely no personality and the rest of the panel weren't much better were theyoldbluefox wrote:On a plus thank goodness we no longer have to suffer screaming Robbie Savage and what was Ryan Giggs doing sat there? It was like stirring treacle Jan. Some of their expert analysis was pathetic. Talk about stating the bl****** obvious. I hope that's the last we see of these four stooges.
The team should get a good welcome home. They deserve it.

We may not have won, but we have done amazingly well and made our little country very proud.

Re: Euro 2016
No doubt that they will have an open top bus parade when they get back - just like the England team did when they returned from Italia 90 (also having reached the semi-finals). There will be one big difference though. It is inconceivable that the Welsh team would a: fly the wrong flag from the bus, and b: fly it upside down. But then, I suspect that neither would any other team in the world!!
If you are wondering, the England team bus was flying the Union Flag upside down: with no English flag to be seen.

Re: Euro 2016
Despite what you are probably all thinking, I am certainly not pleased that Wales lost last night. For that matter, neither am I particularly happy that Portugal and that cocky sod Ronaldo won !
I agree that Wales did well to reach the semis, punching well above their weight but at the end of the day, we have to remember that the whole tournament has been pretty mediocre. Well done Platini for expanding to 24 teams and diluting the whole experience !

England's homecoming and coach top celebration has been televised and will be shown on TV this week. It's called 'One Man and his Dog'.

Re: Euro 2016
Against my better judgement, I watched much of the second half of Germany - France last night. Seems to me that, once again, the better team lost. This tournament has all been a bit of a disappointment - except maybe to the Welsh partizans

Re: The EU - what next?
What a load of rubbish qb....France were outstanding!!!!........
.....Although the thought of winning £45 if they win the final may have influenced my decision somewhat.
Come on France.
Game of two half's.....Germany dominated the first half and France did what they had to do in the second half.

I could be pedantic and point out that France won 6-3 at the 1958 World Cup - but I won't !!
