A clever ambush?
A clever ambush? Appointing Bojo Fox and Davies to lead us to the promised land of post Brexit.
Dear me I wonder what happens when they can't find the way.

There's always light at the end of the tunnel Ray you've just got to keep going to get there.

A superb choice, he'll have them in stitches ... those grumpy ' Remainers ' needed a good belly laugh for goodness sakes.

Keep smiling, it's good for your well being

Don't be sour, Raimondo. Like it or not, we are stuck with it and I, for one, am pleased to see that Maggie May seems to be going the right way about sorting it out in the best way possible

Well, Remain didn't know, Leave didn't know so we just have to hope we can come out if it in the best possible way. Looks like the current lot are committed to that.Ray Scully wrote:qbman1 wrote:Don't be sour, Raimondo. I like her style out with the old in with the new, reminds of the old chaos theory we had at work which recommended a radical change of systems to get the best out of a business. Of course ICI did eventually disappear up its own jacksie, so maybe that's not a good example.

Maggie May seems to be going about it the right way - I just hope she will get the chance to sort us out without all the usual backbiting from her own!

On the plus side she got rid of Georgie Peorgie.
But I see old Carnage is up to his tricks again. Say one thing. Do another. Before the vote interest rates were going up. After the vote interest rates were going down. Today they're going nowhere.
About time he was the first of the immigrants to get his marching orders!

Re: A clever ambush?
Bojo walked up Downing Street looking every inch a Neanderthal. I agree with the first post here; I think Theresa has a real sense of humour. "OK Bojo and Davis; you thought Brexit was so wonderful, you sort it out, and see if you can get anywhere near what you vaguely promised us". Prime Minister? He found his level on Have I got News for you.qbman1 wrote:That's the spirit Raimondo. Can you pass it on to Frank, please !
Much as I like Theresa May, I liked Cameron. The Daily Mail couldn't even get off his back yesterday when the bloke had been gone 24 hours. Populist tosh! Watch out Theresa they'll be smearing you next. Read The Times, it is much more even handed.

I love that Frank.
You spent a paragraph ripping off Boris and any other Brexiteers then you say "Read The Times, it is much more even handed".
Brilliant!!!

It's your round, is it? I'll have a double, then, please.qbman1 wrote:That's the spirit Raimondo. Can you pass it on to Frank, please !
It's interesting (to me, anyway) that the PM appoints Bojo but dumps Mrs Gove's little boy. I hear, though, that they'd had a major disagreement a few years ago and can't stand each other, so maybe it was payback time?

There's a rumour going round that Frank has a newspaper kiosk on the prom at Poole and he's been left with a pile of copies of The Times he is anxious to shift.Frank Manning wrote:Read The Times, it is much more even handed.

The validity of Brexit is proved 100 times over by the other European countries bitching about the appointment of Boris.
It's none of their bloody business! And they simply don't understand that. We are a sovereign country. It's our government. We elected them. And if they chose to fill the cabinet with monkeys and amoebae it would be our problem not theirs. They demonstrate again what is wrong with the EU. They all want to meddle. Clear off!

When CMD was trying to negotiate a settlement that might have kept us in they blocked every effort believing we would never have the guts to dump them.
Now we have they still don't get it.
Which is even more surprising given that a majority of people in several other EU conutries are Eurosceptic too.
I wonder how many have to leave before they see the dawn.
The EU has to reform or die, with or without us. We just bagged one of the lifeboats on the Titanic after Captain Merkel drove it into the iceberg, assisted by watchman Hollande. It might be cold out here but we can watch the ship go down from a safe distance.
