It's none of their bl**dy business! And they simply don't understand that. We are a sovereign country. It's our government. We elected them. And if they chose to fill the cabinet with monkeys and amoebae it would be our problem not theirs. They demonstrate again what is wrong with the EU. They all want to meddle. Clear off!![]()
When CMD was trying to negotiate a settlement that might have kept us in they blocked every effort believing we would never have the guts to dump them.
Now we have they still don't get it.
Which is even more surprising given that a majority of people in several other EU conutries are Eurosceptic too.
I wonder how many have to leave before they see the dawn.
The EU has to reform or die, with or without us. We just bagged one of the lifeboats on the Titanic after Captain Merkel drove it into the iceberg, assisted by watchman Hollande. It might be cold out here but we can watch the ship go down from a safe distance.

Will our grandchildren ever forgive those Leavers when as a poor impoverished little island of little or no consequence, they look over the Channel at the riches and wealth of the new EU, renamed the United Territories of Deutschland

I hope the Carpathia is on the way at high speed, or you are going to die of exposure in that Titanic lifeboat!

It's interesting (to me, anyway) that the PM appoints Bojo but dumps Mrs Gove's little boy. I hear, though, that they'd had a major disagreement a few years ago and can't stand each other, so maybe it was payback time?

I really don't get all this "impoverished little island" bit. Does anyone really believe that the likes of VW, BMW and Renault are going to stand by and allow the EU (or what is left of it) to put barriers in the way of their trade with the UK. And the rest of Europe are still going to want our technological and research know-how, as well as the few top end goodies we still make.

It's not something I understand either.
"They will impose tariffs on us for our trade". Likewise why don't we also impost tariffs if that is the situation and since we import more from the EU than we export surely we are going to be better off. Of course the EU may decide it's not such a good idea after all.
Personally I think the EU is a broken ship and is slowly in meltdown. I'll just be glad when we cut loose otherwise I could see it costing us a lot of money.

Especially VW..... After their recent debacle, they'll need all the sales they can get.

Ray, NOBODY has said we know for certain what the future holds. You, on the other hand, seem extremely sure that, outside the EU, we are sunk. It is our sincere belief that we are better off outside that corrupt bloc but, as I have said many times, time will tell. However, to date, the observed evidence is that the doom and gloom forecast was so much hot air. Again, time will tell.

And just as likely as any others to come up on Saturday.
Did you know that if you buy a ticket this afternoon you're statistically more likely to be dead before the draw than to win the jackpot?

BBC News:
"The UK has no trade negotiators to lead its EU exit talks, a former Cabinet minister says.
Oliver Letwin, who was in charge of the government's "Brexit unit" until he was sacked on Thursday, told presenter Sarah Montague any British negotiators were "working for the EU"".
Little wonder there were so many cries for us to Remain. It is now becoming clear that we were so beholden to our EU paymasters that we had invested everything into the EU and we are now found wanting.
