Tomatoes are going. Rubbish this year, no flavour at all. So it's the bin for them later this week.

Leave them. You will find the taste improves with a bit of sun on them so the next lot to ripen should be better. Watch what varieties you grow next year too - I always grow the small ones Gardener's Delight and Sungold

I always grow the cherry toms (piccalo if I can get them), and usually from seed, but the ones I brought earlier none came up so had to resort to a couple of plants from the garden centre. Don't remember the names but cherry toms they ain't. Nope, there going

Wish I lived nearer to you - I'd be round your allotments like the bunnies stealing your broad beans - love them - they are so expensive in the shops thoughqbman1 wrote:Picking and freezing broad beans like they are going out of fashion. The runner beans are just starting as well

Re: The Children's Off Topic Thread
Been doing some last minute shopping today with Mrs S, total failure
. I tell a lie, I brought a polo shirt in BHS. Yes they are still knocking stuff out. God was it hot in store, how the staff cope I don't know. I bet they can't wait for the sore to finally shut down.
Where these stores get their sizing from I don't as they all differ. Most stuff is made in either china or India, and I think they must base their sizing on them. Hopeless
I'm a size Large and most of my current M&S shirts, some of many years still fit. You try getting the same size now, no chance. Not a bit of give in the current offerings. The cloth must be cut to the bare minimum.
Just wait until my tailor here's about this
