Yorkshire weekend.

Unread post by suespud »

Well I'm off tomorrow spend the weekend with Alex,in his little crash pad near Wetherby.
Friday we are going to Skipton and anywhere else we fancy in the area, lunch in a pub, then Dinner an a lovely seafood restaurant.
Then off to stay at a rather nice country house hotel on saturday, a belated 60th birthday gift , including afternoon tea with fizz.., Dinner with more fizz and a four poster bed to collapse on afterwards!! ( courtesy of his work colleagues).
Sunday we are visiting the Yorkshire lavender fields.
Total indulgent weekend. :D
Can't wait to spend all this time with my OH. :D ;)

Have a great time Spud-u-Like. I have just booked a couple of days at Oulton Hall near Leeds which looks very nice.
I hope Alex's work colleagues get the four poster together in time for you.

Sounds like it will need to be reinforced and bolted together. Could be in for some rough treatment !

Swinging from the chandelier...and landing on the bed is quite tricky when the bed is a four poster... :sarcasm:

If anyone's interested...........................
Travelzoo are doing a special offer of two nights BB with 3 course dinner on the first night and a bottle of red wine in your room for £99pp, available until the end of October. A short while ago we went to Slaley Hall which was lovely so we are looking forward to this one.

All part of modplod's service.................

By the time you've swung on the chandelier, a couple of turns on the four poster and dropped onto the mattress it won't be the only thing that's a bit squeaky, Sue. Must admit, I've never heard of anybody taking their own four poster before.................... :o

Have you, or anybody been to Langley Castle. We stopped off there for morning coffee. Now there's posh!!!

Indeed, it's a beautiful spot, but don't tell all those Southerners cos they think we all walk about in clogs and cloth caps and drink Nookey brown ale!!!

It is in Spud's helicopter!!!

There used to be a pork pie shop near the castle in Skipton. I had one from there and was asked if I wanted it with gravy. I only found out what gravy was when I bit into it fresh from the shop and the juices dripped all down my shirt. You have been warned but what lovely pork pies they are (if the shop is still there).
