What a farce in the Keirin, two restarts because the camera that records the overlap of the derny bike was at the wrong angle to decide if an infringement had occurred.
Jason Kenny was amazingly cool to come out on top to win his sixth gold in that race, his fiance Laura Trott who also made British Olympic history earlier looked far from cool as she nervously watched from the side.
Can I apologise to my neighbours if I woke them up as Jason Kenney crossed the line but I had just rode three Keirins on the edge of my settee.

Talking about the Olympics (or were we ?) the ladies hockey team had another great win beating NZ and guaranteeing a silver.

I wish the British media would concentrate on the sport in the Olympics instead of all the tittle tattle about the competitors.

Woooh Stephen, as a keen table tennis player I have to disagree because table tennis is a very demanding sport needing high fitness levels and very quick reactions, don't confuse it with a game of ping pong on a cruise ship.

As for golf, I have always prided myself at reaching a decent standard in all sports I have taken up and there have been many, football, speed skating, table tennis, sailing, cross country running and flat green bowls but despite golf lessons and a lot of practice I have never been able to master the game. It is a standing joke with my son and grandson when we pass the lake ball sellers in the Costa del Sol when they say"are you stopping to buy your balls back ?".

Horses for courses, or as Foxy would say Jockey's for settees.
