Fancy a laugh

Have a look at C5 TV's listings for today. I though I was seeing things for a moment, or had just woken from a coma

It didn't make us laugh - it just made us groan. Still, I suppose it makes a change from the Olympics.

Not funny! A bit pathetic that they can't or won't show some thing even vaguely worth watching.

OH's cousin is a vicar and questioned the programming on FB.

we decided it's been done for vicars cos come Christmas they don't have time to watch all that stuff!

What amazed me that it's not just films, but the Christmas edition of some standard stuff

Quite a few of the Freeview Channels usually start showing Christmas films ridiculously early too. I've always thought it was to enable people to record as many as they can in advance so those with no life can sit in front of the telly for the entire month of December and get completely bug-eyed ?!

I wonder if the Easter eggs are on the shelves yet?

Around these parts the Back to School signs went up before the kids broke up. No wonder they get depressed.

Things really are getting ridiculous. You can no longer buy any summer clothes in the shops after about April as they get the "autumn ranges" in !

Doesn't bother me Cubie I wear the same fashion all year, Scruffs builders trousers,Dickies socks and Tuff Totector boots plus any promotional tee shirt that is going. All from the Screwfix range.

Trouble is P&O do not accept this fashion on formal nights so I have to put on a bit of lippy and cover up with one of Cheryl's pashmina's to get into the MDR.

We visited a garden centre on Tuesday to buy some garden furniture in their sale and they had a load of Christmas items on display already. At least we've had 2 sunny days to try out the furniture.

I'm only just getting my head around summer and summer holidays never mind thinking about Christmas.

Maureen

PS Embarrassed to admit it but, because the weather wasn't very good on Sunday, we stayed in and watched 'Defending Santa' on Channel 5.

I was volunteering on the narrow boat 'Birdswood' on the Cromford Canal today and during the break they were talking about preparing for the Santa Special, one question arose "who's going to be Santa this year ?" all eyes turned to me "what are you doing in December Ray ? " do they realise my family pet name is Ebeneezer Scrooge ?.
