Best thing to do Lulu, start by using a smaller plate ... I eventually went back to a normal sized plate once I could recognise how much to put on it

Thanks for that confirmation Wina - we're trying hard, but OH especially is always hungry - although I tell him that is how it should be. Fingers crossed we'll get there lol

I don't still feel hungry after I've eaten but I never feel full, the knack is knowing when you've had enough without overeating ... I'd prefer to have an empty plate with the food in serving dishes so you could just take a bit at a time but that doesn't really work when there's only two of us :)

I never feel like i have had enough of some things lol - but most of them are bad for me. I do like to help myself I agree with you completely there - and there is always the temptation to put more on OH's plate than on mine - but he needs to lose more than me, so that's not a good idea. We'll keep trying - it's good to know there are people out there who have done really well with their weight loss and who will offer advice and support - many thanks :D :D

I shortened mine, but only because I made a b**** of my first attempt to join the forum.
Which reminds me I must contact the site administrator to have my old name removed from the list, since I cannot seem to access it.

Mine's still the same. No avatar yet I'm afraid. It'll have to wait until future son-in-law visits (younger daughter got engaged last weekend!!). Asked husband if he could help with putting an avatar - his response - "What's an avatar?" Not a great deal of help.

I had to put an underscore in my username because I made a mistook with my email address on first registering, couldn't get the activation email so couldn't get in to correct it.

Ah well, I'm here now!

No change to mine - still plain old AngieT. However I am known by a different nickname on other forum sites - the name is the Yorkshire word for 'pork pie' - Romig should know what I'm talking about !!
