Thanks for the info Merv, I have used them in the past but I found their HP equivalent inks did not agree with my last printer, especially for photographs, I might give a try though for the Epson.
I don't do a lot of photos but what I do seem fine.
By heck Merv but the scanning facility on this Epson is painfully slow and nowhere near as slick and easy as the HP was, I hope I don't need to use it regularly.

No seriously I cannot find any on pc screen facility that aids scanning, printing etc which I had with the HP, it all needs doing on the tiny printer lcd and using its buttons, then you have to search on the laptop to find where its put the scan, not at all user friendly and certainly not idiot proof.

Have you loaded all the software?

Mine came with a PC based thing called Epson Scan, which enables you to change settings etc. I can go straight to scan, or do a preview and edit the area to be scanned, alter the definition etc and decide where to save it.

In fact everything I need to do, on the PC screen. I only ever use the little built in screen for simple things such as photocopying or changing cartridge.

If you don't have that I imagine you can download it on line.

They don't always supply the software when you buy knock-offs at a car boot in 'Uddersfield, Merv !

Managed to find and download Epson Scan, not improved the speed much and it still does not allow you to decide which file and/or name you want to apply to it, so you still have to go searching for it, but it is an screen facility.
So far I would rate Epson as P&O and HP as Celebrity, but if the Epson lasts longer than the HP did I might reconsider.
