Warner Holidays

We are considering how to celebrate our Golden Wedding. One suggestion is a long weekend at a Warner hotel. There will be 6 adults and 5 teenagers with a 3 year old all to keep entertained. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Moby & Mobietta style ...

Celebrate with just you and Maureen (?) on the actual day, we spent ours on a three day cruise in a suite on Aurora.

Then celebrate with each of your ' old ' friends by doing the things / going to the places etc that you collectively shared all those years ago.

.... and finally go to Butlins / Warners in Phwelli-ish or some-such place with the family.

The rationale being that you are celebrating the magical moment for the best part of a year, so will you be a hero or what.

One problem you may find with the Warner Holiday option is: They are adult only, I believe over 18.

Yes Peter is right, Warner are adult only so teenagers and 3 year old would be excluded.

Plus, having tried Warners this year, while we enjoyed it, I wouldn't put it in the frame for a special celebration.

I'd go with Moby for something personal and really special for yourselves and a follow up for all the family.

Another family option to consider might be Center Parcs.

Friends of ours hired several cottages for a long weekend for family and friends and had the celebration party catered by the cottage owner. Resounding success. Table tennis tables, sports etc were available.

Expensive for what they are and nothing special now. They use to be good years ago but not any more in my view. If your looking for a big family get together Ray you might consider renting a property from this company. We use them every year. The quality and range of the properties on their books is very high. The only thing is Ray you will have to venture down the Southern part of the country

A little tip.
Always book a larger property than you need. For example, when we book there is just the two of us, but alway book accommodation for four people. Not because we nessaccarily need the extra bedroom but you get the extra space, and usually there is none or very little in price difference.
