It only takes 3.5 inches to please a woman.

It doesn't matter if it's Visa or Mastercard.

"Dad, are they allowed to put two people in the same grave?"
"I don't think so, son. Why do you ask?"
"Because that headstone over there says, 'Here lies a lawyer and an honest man.'"

Not true, it was only a bit of hot gossip.

I can count the number of times I've been to Chernobyl on one hand.

It's seven.

My Canadian BIL e-mailed this item from a Canadian newspaper, not very complimentary about us so I thought it ought to be posted in the jokes area.

One of the English national daily newspapers asked readers "What does it mean to be English?"

Some of the emails were hilarious but this one from a chap in Switzerland stood out:

"Being English is about driving in a German car to an Irish pub for a Belgian beer, and then going home, grabbing an Indian curry or a Turkish kebab on the way, to sit on Swedish furniture and watch American or Australian shows on a Japanese or Korean TV, which will soon be powered by a French nuclear power station."

And the most English thing of all?

"Suspicion of anything foreign."
