Of course all this poll is showing is the age demographic of this forum. If, however, we are remotely indicative of the actual cruising market they're wasting their money on climbing walls and creches!

Shame my bus pass doesn't work on cruise ships. I'd even vote for Jezzer if he promised that.

Oh, I don't know - 76% over 60. Sounds a bit like an Arcadia Christmas cruise !

He may not quite offer this, but he is going nationalise The Great British Bake Off and keep it on the BBC. :sarcasm:

The survey tends to support my view that messageboard forums, such as this, have passed peak popularity and are likely to continue to decline as time goes on. Generations further down the line use the www differently and are much more into - well, you know who at the moment - Facebook, Twitter, Whatsapp, Instagram. Who knows what's round the corner though? Something different to make even those obsolete?

They are already obsolete sunseeker16.

Technology moves so quickly that things are virtually out of date as they are launched.

LOL remember the battle with VHS & Betamax

I prefer to use technology to enhance my life and not dictate how I live, so therefore no facebook etc for me.

I still have loads of VHS tapes. I brought a VHS/DVD recorder some time ago to transfer the tapes onto DVD. Have transferred some, mainly family stuff, whether I get round to doing the rest I don't know.

He probably felt he couldn't vote as there isn't an "Over 90" category !

Foxy is younger than me!!
I have to say that for the first time in my life I am feeling my age. I have recently got one of those new fangled smart phone thingummies....I managed to download a Glen Miller LP, but haven't worked out how to use it as a phone, or how to text photos.
