What a shambles!! Our defence in the first half today were dire and half asleep. There are fewer holes in a colander and we were lucky to go in at half time only 4-0 down. That's the worst I have seen them play for a long time. Disgraceful!!!
Carry on like that and it won't be long before all the bandwagon followers will disappear and I'll be able to get a ticket again.

I see Arsenal, Gillingham, Luton and Aldershot won today. I presume their representatives on the forum are still celebrating.

Yes OBF - celebrated all night - Shots still unbeaten at home this season and only 1 goal conceded! It was our golden anniversary yesterday, so our meal out last night had a good atmosphere!

Did you get to go to watch your team at Old Trafford or did you watch on Sky?

I'm glad I hadn't paid to watch my team getting slaughtered at Old Trafford (not that I can get hold of a ticket nowadays). The defending was embarrassing - have seen better on parks football.
I always look for a link on the computer. It's a bit of a pain avoiding and getting rid of all the dubious advertisement links but most times I can get a half decent link without the picture freezing or losing the match altogether.

Gills actually played remarkably well for a change and were good for the three points.

I'd be happy if we were hanging around the playoffs come next May but promotion is a step too far on our budget.

SAD NEWS
It was announced today that Jackie Sewell a legend of the 1950's died at the age of 89, he played for Notts County, Sheffield Wednesday, Aston Villa and Hull.
The last time I saw him play was in the FA Cup Semi Final against Forest at Hillsborough in 1959 when Forest won 1-0 to go on and win the cup.

RIP Jackie you were one of my boyhood heroes.

Yes. Apologies, I forgot that one. I'm still sorry after Luton lost to Notts Forest in the 1959 cup final. Sid Owen one of the best centre halfs in the game missed out on a cup winners medal. Forest might have put 4 or 5 past Luton that day had Roy Dwight not been carried off with an broken leg. No subs in those days.

The Championship leaders go to Ipswich today, we have only ever won there twice, the last time was 20 years ago, so any points will be very welcome.

............and amazingly we are still the leaders, only our 3rd ever win at Portman Road, mind you both the other Ipswich managers then went on to become national managers, Alf Ramsey and George Burley, and of course Mick McCarthy has already managed the republic of Ireland.

Lucky to get away with a point yesterday. My lot looked half a yard short and lacking in ideas. Southampton looked the fresher of the two teams but never really threatened apart from a Charlie Austin speculative which came off the post. They have been on a good run so the point against them is welcome. It goes in my bore draw locker!!!

Now that Ched Evans has been found not guilty of rape, which IMO, should have been the original verdict, I wonder if those who vilified him will offer any apologies, including one of my favourites Jess Ennis who wanted her name removed from a stand if he was given his job back after his release.

I see Barney's lot have drawn our near neighbours Brackley Town in the first round of the Cup. Don't know whether RB1961 will be there, but it's in his parish

He is a bit weak on crosses and free kicks into the box, but he is Welsh after all, probably takes after the late Gary Sprake. ;)

Brackley beat them a few years ago, it was on BT Sport. Unlikely to happen again as the sugar daddy has started to withdraw funds "allegedly"
