my s.i.l. has a girl mini schnauzer, and the only one of your names that suits her is Oscar - the others are a bit butch for a small dog ( even a boy dog!)

here's a list:

I like Montgomery!

We are getting a black Labrador on Friday. Male and I'm told we are calling it Willow. It's from a local gamekeeper.
I wanted to call it Dennis.
I'm led to believe that many people are using normal names nowadays like Dave, Frank and Tom.

Whatever you choose enjoy...I can't wait.

We had a Cairn called Henry. He lived to the age of 17 and I really could not bring myself to have another pet after losing him.Incidentally, my daughter also currently has a Cairn named Fred, she is an avid cricket fan and named him after Flintoff!

I have a Cairn terrier bitch called Penny (her full name being Penticharm Golden Crown - bit of a mouthful  ) who is now 15 and a half - she is missing a few teeth, is much slower and deaf but still eats well and wants to walk twice a day - I absolutely dread anything happening to her but reassured that your Henry lived to such a good age too. I love all these names like Fred and Tom - the dog up the street is called Trevor

May be when you actually see the dog one of the names will just be the right one Lyndsey.

Hi Lindsey,

Having just returned from 8 days at the tin can l haven't as yet had much time to think about doggy names but considering the origins of the breed one might like to consider 'Bosch' as a suitable name...just make sure he comes with a 3 year guarantee though

Whatever you do don't take Darkknights lead who called his dogs Fang, Jaws and Snapper...as always please don't tell him l've said that. :D

Regards

Keith

P.s For something a little more unusual how about Flint?.

We dont have dogs. However my neighbour has a Shitzu called 'Buster'. He is a real character but so docile, and often walks by with a coat on with the word Security on it. I have taken to giving him treats, usually three at a time, and he sits up and begs for them. He now strains at the leash to get up our drive when he passes each morning, even if I am nowhere to be seen.

Buster is a good name for him.
