Harlequin ladybirds
Noticed hundreds of ladybirds decending on our house yesterday which l thought pretty unusual considering the time of the year? Anyway l mentioned this to my daughter who, having heard a discription of them said they were Harlequin ladybirds which, apparently are swarming across the country having a disastrous effect on our native ladybirds. Not a threat to life or limb but if they are allowed to set up residence in your home, they do apparently have quite a nasty smell about them.

You are not alone.
My mother in-laws house was infested with them over the summer as were her neighbours, and still has them, but not in so many numbers.

What are they like with black bean sauce in a stir fry ?
ps .... if you see them then destroy them is my advice else they'll munch all our native chums.

You can borrow my workshop vac Onelife, the first time I used it I foolishly tried swapping the 100mm hose from one machine to another without switching off. It sucked my arm up the hose and when it reached my elbow the vac came flying towards me and nearly knocked me out.
This bully will knock em out and suck em up at the same time.

If you heard some of the songs I sang at the Carrington Triangle Folk Club last night you would hardly class me as a choirboy Stephen.Stephen wrote:Onelife wrote:Raybosailor wrote:You can borrow my workshop vac Onelife, the first time I used it I foolishly tried swapping the 100mm hose from one machine to another without switching off. Hi Ray...
From what l've heard Stephen gets a big frill when thinking about me dressed in a cassock singing "ba ba black sheep" (would you like some fun). ...so with this in mind if he ever asks you what folk singers wear?...don't go there...you'll live to regret it for sure
P.s My wife and daughter are into their folk music. Our daughter plays the accordion and was delighted when she was invited to record 'Robins Waltz' for an Irish folk band called 'Real Note a few years back.
Regards
Keith
