iTunes

Unread post by Stephen »

I wondering if anyone on here that has iTunes on their PC can tell me how to set songs to automatically play one after the other. At the moment, unless I manually click each song to play it will just keep repeating the same song.

It's bound to be a setting somewhere, but I can't seem to find it.

Thanks for any help

Stephen
you need to set up a playlist, there is an icon for it on the left hand side of the screen ?
once you have that set up it will play whatever is on the list and you can also shuffle the list so it plays them randomly

well that's how mine works :? :?

I've been using iTunes for about seven years now, and not until recently when the software has been changed that I cannot get songs to play one after the other.

I have the songs displayed under the 'Artists' tab with the album covers showing on the main page with song titles displayed to the right.

It was always a case of click whatever song to start and the rest would follow on going from album to album. But all I get now is the same song repeating itself. I never had to set up a play list in the past.

Where is the 'Select All' option please. I cannot see it.

Stephen, You can set i-tunes to play randomly by setting shuffle on under controls, this will play all songs or by album or groupings. John.

Just had a quick look and if I select an album it plays all the way through without any problem using version 11.0.2.26

I think you'll find the latest version is 11.0.2.25 David. I just checked mine and for any updates.

OK. I don't know what I have done but tracks are now playing one after the other on any selected album...Except one. All the track titles on this one particular album are a faded grey colour where as all the other album track titles are a deep black colour. What could be causing that.

Think I'll try removing and re-loading that one album an see if that sorts it out.

Isn't technology wonderful :(

Strange that David.

I literally just checked for any new updates again via 'Help' in my iTunes software and their web site, and it still says that 11.0.2 is the current version.

Perhaps it depends on what version of Windows you have. I have Windows 7 64 bit.

Yep, you're right David .26 is the latest version.

However, checking my software update again just now it still read that I had the latest version 11.0.2.25. It wasn't until I downloaded the new file and right clicked and checked under properties/details that it tells you that it's the .26 version.

Not the end of the world in the grand scheme of things. And it's probably only been updated by a full stop somewhere.........or even the auto updater! :-)

Selecting stuff: Select first item then shift click last item - this selects everything from first to last. If you want to select random items, click one then hold down the ctrl key (cmd on a mac) whilst clicking other items. A quick way to select everything in a window is to hold down the ctrl (cmd) key and press the letter A

This works most places not just iTunes
