Even more incredible how did Spike the hedgehog get on there ?.

The Waitrose (part of John Lewis Group) ad is quite good but I wouldn't put Waitrose mince pies out for the birds at that price.

Hi Ray...the most important thing to take out of this ad is that if you put a trampoline in your garden it will inevitably attract lots of vermin ;)

As for the other ad I was rather hoping the Kestrel had got its claws into Robin as this would have demonstrated that some are less fortunate than others at this time of year....now where did I put those Aldi mince pies

That's rather cruel Keefy, even I wouldn't put Aldi mince pies out for the birds.

If you want to be really cruel, try the birds with Mrs C's sponge cakes. Last time they bent their beaks on it !

On the radio this morning I heard an interview with someone from - it may have been the RSPCA or maybe some other animal charity protesting about the John Lewis advert saying it would encourage people to try to get their dogs, in particular, to jump on a trampoline and there would be a danger of the animals injuring themselves. Also apparently the hedgehog is not a variety that would be seen in this country and they should be hibernating now anyway! The interviewer asked him if he thought people would be that stupid and was told, yes some would! Talk about bah humbug!

Each time I see it the advert still makes me smile, prefer it to the Waitrose one although that is good. What do people think of the M&S one - wish I could remember where I've seen the actress who plays Mrs. Claus before.

Hi Carole Janet McTeer has won many acting awards but the role I remember her for is the prison governer in Lynda La Plante's "The Governor".

As soon as I read it was Janet McTeer I recognised the name - didn't see "The Governor" but I know I've seen her in various TV dramas.
