Does anybody know what happens to the Easter eggs they don't sell, same as Christmas selection boxes, chocolate Santas etc?
Keep this to yourself foxy...but where do you think keefy's chocolates come from? :D

They just get sold off at reduced prices..... bit like Christmas wrapping paper etc.

They do indeed .. I used to work for a well known Wholesale company and Easter eggs were always reduced at sometime during the day on Good Friday, same with Christmas confectionery usually reduced on Christmas Eve.

I always had the advantage of first choice as the lists came through my office

Our local card shop - can't remember which on it is - sells off large boxes of Thornton's Christmas chocs at AMAZING prices in January. Last January we bought a £40 for £5!

Our local Waitrose always has lots of cheap choccies and other "seasonal" stuff immediately after Christmas and Easter

So that's where they all go!! Remind me not to get behind DQ at the checkout!!!

Thornton's nearly always have good deals going although £5 for a £40 box is fantastic.

Okay now the three month Christmas season has only a few weeks left to run, when should we get started on Easter? The Easter weekend begins on 25th March, but who will spot the first Easter Eggs in the shops?
That's funny

Perhaps you are too early Merv

My Google calendar has Good Friday as 14th April 2017,
I'm sure you're right John, but my post was 2015, ahead of Easter 2016! This thread appears to have risen from the dead. Vety appropriate for Easter!

This Easter thread has been a bad omen for me, I was ripping a machine packing case apart this afternoon and a ring shank nail pierced the palm of my hand "I've been crucified", I put a large plaster on it but the blood came through so I put another plaster on top and it is still oozing out through two plasters.

On Monday I have to see the practice nurse for a fasting blood sample so I might throw the dressings on her desk and say take it out of that and keep the change.
I need chocolate any eggs going cheap ? (oh sorry forgive the pun).
