Indeed it was Stephen....It never ceases to amaze me how a few beautifully sung words can bring a town to a standstill......not so sure it was an impromptu performance but what the hell he had a stunning voice. :thumbup: :clap:

Absolutely beautiful! It was lovely seeing all those smiles on the people standing around watching, one of those hairs standing up on the back of your neck moments. I hope he got a lot of donations - but he seemed just to get genuine pleasure from singing.

That was indeed "beautiful" Stephen - this song has been sung by Josh Groban and Westlife brought out a version in 2005 and the following year my husband died and for some silly reason I felt the song was for me and him and cried buckets - well still do to be honest every time I hear it. The words are an inspiration to me and I feel he would be proud of what I've achieved and I am amazed at how strong one can be when a life changing event happens to you.

I along with 70 others sang this song a the Symphony Hall Birmingham.......albeit a few years ago now but still one of my all time favourites.

There were a few shady characters in our choir but l think you must be thinking of the one Stephen was in.....can't remember the name but it was something ....queer!!!
