Christmas Crackers

Unread post by suespud »

I must admit, I am a bit crackers about Christmas Crackers.
I match them to the trees and rooms, then have another few sets for Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day and special ones for the grandkids.
So this year I got some from M&S when they had the 3 for 2 offer on, and the rest from waitrose and sainsbugs.

Last night my dil said she liked the white ones in particular, asked where were they from and how much were they.
I couldn't remember how much they were...so she googled...they were £29 for six :o
Don't forget they were 3 for 2.
But what she also found was that they are selling on ebay for £36  :o

Just tickled me.

White crackers to match my white decs in my garden room.

I was wondering how Spuddy manages to get the decorations to hang property on a horizontal tree ?

I always match the crackers to the tree and room decor too. Last year I made my own
crackers, but this year I haven't had time with my mum in and out of hospital so poorly. So I bought some from JL. But still matching!

As you are well into the Christmas spirt and all that may l take this opportunity to wish you a very Happy Christmas.

Regards

All joking apart (and getting back on track!!!!!!) Sue's decorations look lovely. I'll have to get the tree down before long but ours isn't themed apart from 'Christmas'. By the time we get everything on it there's no room for crackers.

Not wishing to point the finger at anyone foxy but wasn't it Stephen who took this topic off topic....just saying!!

We tend not to put up any decorations up until after my daughters Birthday (today) ...However this year it's going to have to wait until the 11th as she's not back from university till then. I have put up the outdoor Christmas lights, and if l can find some water proof crackers l'll put them up too...see what l did there  :)

We haven't bought crackers for the last three years as we have been away but in the past I liked to take the novelties out of them and replace them with something suitable for each of the family.

Each cracker had the persons name on them so the gift went to the right person and the motto's were swapped for a riddle that I had written about each family member, every cracker had a lottery ticket rolled inside too.

The kids and grandkids say that's one of the things they miss over Christmas so hopefully we can all get together next year and have a bash or "A Bit Of A Do" (a song I will be singing at the folk club tonight).

Thinking about it I wish that I had put condoms in my Christmas crackers of the past, we seem to have a lot of Birthdays around September time, is there such a thing as "The Christmas Pudding Club" ?
