Fantastic test match
Wales !!!
Left their best match till last.
Not so good in the six nations this year but a brilliant win over Ireland.

Yes we are away to France, could win that one as well. But no triple crown or the championship.

Too true, Lindsey. The only positive benefit is that they might just scrape into the top eight when the seedings for the next World Cup are announcedWhynd1 wrote: 11 Mar 2017, 07:43Yes we are away to France, could win that one as well. But no triple crown or the championship.

A Scotland win would have seen them take everything, instead they have gone home with nothing, Although i believe Mrs Krankie wants it played again because its not the result she wanted.

Not sure the team would agree, Screwy - they could probably play till Christmas and still not win. Unless Mrs Krankie changed the rules, of course.

So pleased that our Celtic friends beat the English.
Excellent match.
Least said about the referee Wayne Barnes the better.

I could say the same about the French............................ but I won't!!
England were poor on the day, Ireland played well and deserved their win.
C'est la vie!!

Yes, Ireland played the conditions better on the day, but it was close.
So, Italy were last again. Who was it who came next to last?

Not happy with the "don't care who wins so long as it's not England" mentality !
Yes, Ireland wanted it more on the day and deserved the win. It many ways, I'm quite pleased the winning run is over since trying to maintain it brings an unnecessary additional pressure

At the risk of all my fellow Welshmen sending me to Coventry I do agree with you - it can be meant in a light hearted way by people like me but sometimes people can take it too far and get down right nasty. However for some reason I don't like Eddie Jones - can't put my finger on it but just find him irritating - perhaps this defeat will wipe that smug smile off his faceqbman1 wrote: 20 Mar 2017, 09:39Not happy with the "don't care who wins so long as it's not England" mentality !

As long as he's on our side, he's OK and he is very good at what he does.

I like friendly banter and two sides enjoying the occasion. However I don't understand the "don't care who wins so long as it's not England" mentality and must admit I don't like it. Unfortunately some take it to the next level and it ends in violence.qbman1 wrote: 20 Mar 2017, 09:39Not happy with the "don't care who wins so long as it's not England" mentality
At the weekend a friend (of pension age) of mine went out for a meal with his wife and then into a local bar for a drink. A Scotsman idled up to him and said "Are you English?" When he said he was the Scot pushed his nose in his face and told him "You can stuff your ****ing Grand Slam up your ****!!" My friend and his wife promptly left. Unacceptable and needless.

Re: Fantastic test match
He was just a nutter looking for trouble and thought he stood a good chance against a pensioner twice his age. I hope he found a local nutter who was only too pleased to take him on.
So could anybody explain the "as long as it's not England" maxim we hear so much? At one time everybody in the home nations supported each other but seemingly no longer. We did once meet a family in Scotland who were still stuck with Bannockburn, Culloden etc so maybe that's what it's about but good grief, that was 700 years ago. Isn't it time to move on?
Btw Jan's a taff but she's alright!!!
