I hated the idea but love the track. As does a lovely lady of advancing years who calls my radio show regularly to request it.

my son played this version to me about six months ago, at first I said that no body could do it better than Simon and Garfunkel, but I am totally won over, I love it and it sends shivers up my arms when I listen to it.
regards gilly.

It's good, but nowhere near as good as theirs in my opinion.

Powerful. I enjoyed it, probably more so than the original.

It's on the band's "Immortalised" album. I've listened to 60 second excerpts of some of the other tracks, probably won't get the album but will certainly get this track.

I loved the original, indeed l can't think of one Simon and Garfunkle track that l don't like but David Draimam's cover takes your mind to a diffrent level which l belive is what the lyrics were written to do.

You can. It's online. Either through website www.moorlandsradio.co.uk or on the Tune In Radio App on phone or tablet. Saturdays 7 to 10 am. But I'm not on this week.

Another vote for the original, that one does not really float my boat, and the video is a bit too arty for my simple tastes, rather have Pan's People dancing to the original.

Well, I'm probably going to be controversial - I don't dislike the version of the song - although I prefer the original. The man obviously has a very powerful voice. I can see that the video itself is also very powerful - but - I know I may be old fashioned but it's as much as I can do to look at his face with those studs in his chin - almost makes me feel squeamish - yes I said I was old fashioned but I hate looking at people with piercings in their faces.

Hi Caroel....Some of the ladies on this forum would die to get their hands on some of his earrings

Yep!... I'm inclined to agree with you about face piercings but each to their own. I did however try piercing my foot using a pitch fork on one occasion..squeak squeak.

I personally don't think one should try and compare one version against the other as whilst they both use the same lyrics they are poles apart in ther vocal interpretation.

Regards

Keith

That reminds me of a lad I met many years ago who came in with a plaster on his earlobe. When asked what happened, he said wanted to get his ears pierced but couldn't get the dart through...
